Maska

Killer Eyes, Puppy Love M aska is my 2-month 1-year old Siberian Husky-Belgian Malinois cross pup. He's been with me for almost 3 weeks now. Before I took him in, some folks told me crossbreeds usually have behavior problems. I'm not a dog expert but somewhere in my mind, a theory lodges in there before I shot the question at Yahoo! Answers. I think dog behaviors highly depend on how owners raise them when they are still very young. Huskies and Malinois are both highly energetic and active. They also belong to the same class: working dogs.

Awakening

Underworld:  Awakening S elene is back with a vengeance and Kate Beckinsale  is beautifully awesome, as usual.  Underworld trumps Twilight in every angle, hands down.  Though, the entire movie itself won't give you a "woohoo let's watch it again moment" it does leave you a "wanting for more" feeling at the end.  Like every other Underworld installments the story line pace was fast, no dull moment.  The twist also was very unexpected.  The action sequences as always delivers a lot of punch but I do regret watching this on 3D.  I mean, you pay extra bucks for 3D and all I get is a couple of scenes that really brings out the 3D experience.  Anyway, this one is worth watching for an another addition to my Underworld movie collection. This is the best Underworld yet! Spoiler plot alert after the jump!  You've been warned!

SOPA

Stop SOPA I t is not a long, upholstered couch with a back and two arms or raised ends that sits within the walls of your comfortable living room.  I believe it is a sofa?  This one is SOPA - Stop Online Piracy Act.  I would want to link the article in Wikipedia but the site will be having a blackout in protest to this censorship.  So what is it?  For sure it's not as comfortable as your sofa in your living room.  Here's the gist:  there is a bill in the U.S. Senate that if passed would cripple our freedom to publish right here in the web.  Still don't get it?   Fight for the Future does it better with this video right after the jump.

Sakura

Do you know?  The speed at which cherry blossoms fall, 5 centimeters per second.  At what speed must I live to be able to see you again? 5 Centimeters Per Second is one of the most beautiful anime movies I've seen.  Both story line and the visual animation were superb.  The main characters, Takaki Tōno and Akari Shinohara were opened with the falling of the cherry blossoms falling at 5 centimeters per second. The story is set in the early 1990s, a time which I could actually relate to.  Again, this is amazingly animated and story ended in a mature kind of way.  I think the movie ends with a reality that no matter how epic a relationship started, sometimes all you could do is to look back to those days and move on.  Credits to my little sister Scarlet for introducing this movie almost a couple of years ago. Teaser trailers and spoiler alert (via Wikipedia ) right after the jump!

Pastrified

S o here I am backed up with draft posts but I know I just have to push this one through.  We have a small family business called Cake Garden  here in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.  It's a delicious mix of cakes, pastries and good food - more than the usual.  Sounds like DOT's previous campaign.  Anyway, we had been pounded with tons of orders during the holidays from family and friends.  Now that hype slowed down a bit and we got a wee bit of time to improve our products and the Cake Garden Blog . New Sticky Buns Sticky Buns The new sticky buns are bigger, gooey-y, buttery, caramel-y and imbued with more cinnamon.  Last year, we included these babies in our price list but we did not really market them for the reason we're still experimenting on the different types of dough to be used.  We even tried using Brioche dough in one occasion.  For the final product, we'll be using sweet dough for your sticky bun cravings.

Fun

T oday, the Department of Tourism finally launched a brand new theme for Philippine Tourism - fun .  You've seen the hype on Twitter  and the brand new website .  Also, this campaign is supposed to be fueled by social media like it's a new thing - I don't know what is the fuss about that but on that note you have probably noticed that I am not all out in this campaign. Tourism Campaign For International Use Sure thing, it is more fun and even better than the last failed attempt of "Pilipinas Kay Ganda" yet still if we were to be on par with other countries, they should have beefed up "WOW Philippines" instead.

Lumianized

First off, a massive thank you to Nokia Connects especially to Paul for this two-week trial of the new and lovely Nokia Lumia 800 .  On the 19th of December, the Lumia 800 arrived on my desk and well, let's just say I was "Lumianized".  For those who still didn't know, the Nokia Lumia 800 runs the latest Windows Phone code name Mango .  More on that later but let me just say it's a different experience compared to iOS and Android.  The OS is much younger compared to its rivals but it surely have a great potential if Microsoft and Nokia will join forces to improve the OS.  I love its simplicity and elegance. Hello Lumia! There are already tons of unboxing videos and reviews of this device so in this review I'll focus more on the experience.  For full phone specifications, click here .
