Do you know?  The speed at which cherry blossoms fall, 5 centimeters per second.  At what speed must I live to be able to see you again? 5 Centimeters Per Second is one of the most beautiful anime movies I've seen.  Both story line and the visual animation were superb.  The main characters, Takaki Tōno and Akari Shinohara were opened with the falling of the cherry blossoms falling at 5 centimeters per second. The story is set in the early 1990s, a time which I could actually relate to.  Again, this is amazingly animated and story ended in a mature kind of way.  I think the movie ends with a reality that no matter how epic a relationship started, sometimes all you could do is to look back to those days and move on.  Credits to my little sister Scarlet for introducing this movie almost a couple of years ago. Image Source:   natalie R urouni Kenshin is the best anime ever, hands down.  Sorry Bleach and Naruto fan boys and girls but nothing beats the story line and the historic background of RK.  This is the only anime that I am obsessed with and I think so too with others within my generation.  I would want to collect all the OVAs and the Anime series and someday I will pass down to my kids!  Ha!
